1- Complete course of identifying precious & semi precious stones
2- Short-term courses of acquaintance with precious & semi precious stones
3- Training of jewellery design; classic and designing by computer
4- Specialized training courses of precious & semi precious stones with separating of identifying different stones (such as Emerald, Ruby & Diamond)
5- Courses in cutting precious & semi precious stones
• Codified as per the international standard No.0-13/98/1/1 in Technical & Professional Organization and is of about 240 hours
• Students can be familiar with all the precious & semi precious stones including colored ones and diamond
• After passing the course, students will be able to identify colored stones and classify them qualitatively and also identify diamond and classify it by scientific and practical methods as per international standards
• At the end of the course and after succeeding at the exam, students will be awarded a certificate with the international code by Technical & Professional Organization
• Those having the above mentioned certificate will be known as gemologists
• This institute represented by the Training & Research Institute of Mines & Industry Ministry in the field of gemology and represented by AIGS Institute of Thailand, will award the students the representative certificate in both Persian & English language if they can finish the course successfully
• Besides that the institute will award confirmation to the interested students during the gemological course in both Persian & English language
• This course is a compressed one and of about 70 hours including 25 hours of theory and 45 hours of practical
• During the course students will be made familiar with all the scientific and practical principles of gemology compressively
• At the end of the course the institute will award the certificate for passing the course
• The above mentioned courses have been organized preferably for the following peoples:
a. the members of Jewellery & Gold Union
b. jewelers
c. those people who have the primary familiarity with precious & semi precious stones
d. students and graduates of geology and mineralogy
e. those interested in learning the scientific and practical principles of geology compressively in order to trade in precious & semi precious stones' market
• Each of these courses is of a period of 100 hours. The classic course includes the training of jewellery design classically and by hand and the other one is trained by computer
• During the course students will be able to design different jewellery and made familiar with the design methods completely
• - This course is organized for all interested groups including jewellery makers, computer students and graduates who have complete familiarity with design principles and all of the interested ones in designing, students trained by computer and in the field of stone cutting, and also trainees of jewellery making courses.
• At the end of the course the certificate will be awarded to the trained ones
These courses have been designed between 25 to 30 hours according to the kind of stone
• Students during the course will be able to specialize in identifying and classifying each stone by scientific and practical methods
• The abovementioned courses have been organized for the people who need to be specialized in identification of some stones like jewelers trade and also interested peoples in this field
• At the end of each course the certificate regarding the course will be awarded by the institute
These courses are being conducted for the first time in Khorasan with cooperation of Handicraft Organization of Razavi Khorasan.
These courses include 3 terms as follows:
The first term, cutting Cabochan 100 hours
The second term, geometric dimensions cutting 100 hours
The third term, faceted cutting 50 hours
It must be mentioned that the Handicraft Organization of Razavi Khorasan has undertaken 70 percent of teaching of cutting stones classes in limited time.
